Kayak Trips and Tours
Come explore the amazing creation that abounds in the surrounding salt marshes and estuaries of the Lowcountry. Whether you are kayaking peacefully through the tidal creeks or on a high-energy paddle with family and friends, you will experience the abundant wildlife and breathtaking views that surround St. Christopher.
You can observe foraging shorebirds looking for a snack and curious dolphins swimming mere feet from your boat. Because of its location along the North Edisto River, directly across from Botany Island and the Botany Bay Plantation Wildlife Management Area, St. Christopher is the perfect spot to explore the unspoiled beauty of the Lowcountry.

Overnight Kayaking and Camping Trips
If you yearn for adventure or a meaningful encounter with the Lord, join Outdoor Encounters for a weekend wilderness kayak trip. The goal of this program is to foster the faith of our guests, while instilling an appreciation and understanding of God’s creation.
You can encounter the Lord in a powerful way as you stretch yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually while being surrounded by the majesty of his creation. We believe wilderness trips are a metaphor for how God has called Christians to live with purpose, adventure, and community.
We offer outings for all skill levels and tailor trips to the needs, desires, and abilities of each group. We provide training, gear, and food for the duration of the trip. Excursions are ideal for six to ten people and are a great bonding experience for youth, small groups, and even corporate teams.
We accept individuals depending on availability and interest. Only high school age and older are permitted to kayak without additional adult supervision. We can also develop special trips for families.
