We are excited to announce that the Barrier Island Environmental Education Program will once again be holding our successful 3-day/2-night Christian Homeschool Session at St. Christopher Camp & Conference Center on Seabrook Island, SC.
Session dates are:
Wednesday-Friday, April 4-6, 2018Our goal with this field trip is to provide a place for the whole family to come and enjoy fellowship with other Christian homeschooling families while the elementary, middle and high school aged students participate in classes that add to and build on concepts taught by you at home.
- Comparative physiology (reptiles/amphibians/birds/fish)
- This is where we can dive in to looking at specific creatures that God created and really explore what makes them different and why would God give these creatures those designs.
- Ecosystem dynamism
- There are a number of classes that we will offer that will explore the richness and complexity of GOD’s creation, and how everything is interwoven, and connected in some way.
Activities such as nature journaling and interpretation will be taught that will give tools for parents to continue what is learnt on the field trip in to their local parks and yards.
A family-oriented chapel service will be held after dinner, early in the evening, to allow for younger children to attend and then head to bed. After chapel, the remaining children and adults will then participate in campfire, games, noodle hockey, and astronomy.
